Welcome!
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at East Carolina University. I study how the environment influences human behavior, helps people find joy through leisure, and affects the spatial distribution of economic activity.
My current research focuses on the climate change impacts, water quality benefits, and congestion in recreational settings. I study sites from the U.S. National Park System to beaches in the Great Lakes and Gulf regions. In addition to my work, I enjoy biking, hiking, camping, and playing sports.
